Had a great weekend filled with Cuban music! First, to celebrate Gaby's birthday, we took a trip to The Ramp in San Francisco. The band there was fabulous! From afar, I saw Plaza Cuba greats Alisa & Carmen! Alas, they were (as usual) at the front of the stage, surrounded by crowds, dancing their hearts out. Sorry I didn't get a chance to say Hi!
Sunday, it was off to Stern Grove to see Cubanismo! What a fabulous venue, and even greater band! Spent the day hanging with Amy and Nan, and it felt like we were (almost) back in Cuba! Thanks, Amy, for thinking to bring the rum. ;-)
